What’s in a FURBY Name?
If you have ever bought paint, you have surely noticed the imaginative names that the paints have. Sometimes it’s hard to come up with the right name when you get a new pet or toy. If you’re lucky you’ll come up with a name right away, other times it takes a while for the name to settle in. Fortunately, most of 2012 FURBIES and 2013 FURBY Party Rockers have names so if you are having trouble you can just use the name FURBY comes with out of the box. So, what’s in a FURBY Name?
In August of 2013 Furby Boom was introduced, think of them as Furby on steroids. All the cool Features of Furby but with the ability to remember it’s name and have Furby babies called Furblings. Of course these Furbies have a name right out of the box but it’s more fun to give them a unique name.
First Generation Furby
The most popular FURBY, Taboo is teal colored. Not sure how Hasbro came up with the name Taboo since I can’t really think of anything taboo about a FURBY, maybe there is something they aren’t telling us?
This name makes me think of the sun, this FURBY is a bright orange color and definitely makes you feel warm and fuzzy.
I looked up the word Sprite because I was guessing that the name wasn’t referring to the soda. Apparently a Sprite is a fairy or elf. This FURBY kind of reminded me of Big Bird from Sesame Street.
Another interesting name choice, whoever was naming FURBIES at the time was obviously on some kind of magic vibe. This is another popular color choice.
– This is one of my favorite name, Yeti is a name for the abominable snowman. I automatically think about the character from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and think it’s cute to think of FURBY as a miniature abominable snowman.
Second Generation Furby
No FURBY was not in the Twilight saga, this is referring to the rich blues of this FURBY.
A little Nutcracker reference this FURBY is a deep purple color.
Third Generation Furby
Sweet and cute enough to eat.
A misty, cloudy and dreamy kind of FURBY.
